What type of evergreen tree is traditionally used for the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree?

by Henry L. on November 29, 2008

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is usually a Norway spruce, standing between 75 and 90 feet tall. The Norway spruce is not indigenous to the U.S., so it is almost always selected from a nursery or forest specializing in ornamental plantings.
