Lawyers Celebrate The Holidays Too!

Sometimes you might wonder if lawyers celebrate the holidays just like us, or do they ignore the whole holiday season and keep scheduling court cases throughout the holidays. The shows on TV usually depict lawyers doing battle in the courtroom over really big issues. That really isn’t the case in most instances.

Much of the work lawyers do is routine, depending on the type of firm they are working in. I would probably have thought this is true if I didn’t have first-hand experience. My cousin is a lawyer, and she says that they try not to schedule very much if possible from Thanksgiving all the way till New Year.  But, depending on the case load and the law firm you work with, this can actually be a rather busy time, so it might be difficult to find the time to send out a Legal Holiday Card to all their clients in appreciation.

We have discussed the office politics which is similar to any other office. Depending on your seniority you may have to work some or all of the holidays depending on the clientele. At her office they have the traditional holiday party, just like everyone else who celebrates. Their office instituted a grab bag gift situation last year. The gift must be between $10-$15 dollars.  A gift anyone can use, but not gift cards.  This causes co-workers to become creative. It seems as though lawyers just have a bad reputation.

What Does Your Corporate Holiday Say About Your Company

Our jobs have become part of our culture. We spend most of ours days here, developing relationships with others from all walks of life. Many of us even develop friendships that exist outside of the work parameters. The companies that we work for, are aware of this. The better companies will offer extracurricular programs through their business in order to nurture these relationships.

A happy worker is often a good one. Corporate holidays and sending Business Holiday Cards are a great way to show appreciation for its workers. What do corporate holidays say about the company that you work for? First, the very existence of corporate holidays shows an appreciation of the group as a whole. It’s a way of saying that the cohesive efforts of everyone have been noticed, and a group reward is deserved. One outstanding company that I worked for, added an extra day to the current Christmas Holiday schedule. It was given via email one week before the Holiday Season.

It really was a gift, and each department was abuzz with excitement. The placement of this Holiday was at the end of the year, and it felt like the company was celebrating a year well done. Outside of money, appreciation is the most sought after reward that employees are after. If your company offers a corporate holidays, be thankful. You work for someone that goes above and beyond to appreciate you.

Christmas And Holiday Cards “From All Of Us”

You might not be aware, but the Gallery Collection has a specific category for “Christmas & Holiday Cards” that has a number of greeting card designs with “From All of Us” on the front of the card.  Since we’re a warm and friendly group who like to individually sign the cards we send out, it seems appropriate to show our team spirit right up front and in your face.  We think it’s in keeping with the spirit of the season.

Some of these festive designs have the added feature of printing our company name on the front and several have a window to the inside showing whatever is printed there.  On a few, you’re able to customize the entire text with your own personal message.

The selection includes merry snowmen and chubby penguins, beautiful holiday ornaments of all sizes and colors, snowflakes, wreaths and one special group of Party Pets.  There’s a choice of colorful designs with “Happy Holidays” or “Peace” or “Merry Christmas” or “Season’s Greetings” in classic, traditional fonts as well as funky, light hearted fonts.

See if you can’t create a unique and memorable card of your own to send this year.  I’m sure you’ll make the holidays a more festive celebration for all those on your list!

Best Time To Send Your Business Christmas Cards

Yes, we’re still in summer. However, the holidays will be upon us before you know it, and for most of us, it’s the most wonderful time of the year – unless you are unprepared. I’m sure your company has been flooded with important customers all year long. You are trying to find a way to send your appreciation for their business, your well wishes for the holiday season, and the New Year ahead!

If you head over to GalleryCollection.com, there is an entire selection of interesting holiday card designs. You pick out the design of the card you wish to have, you pick out the appropriate greeting, the appropriate imprint, the type of envelope, etc. Now comes the question of when the best time would be to send your business Christmas cards. We obviously don’t want to send them out in September or October, as that would be way too early!

Although some companies/businesses may send a generic “Seasons Greetings” cards at the end of November to honor Thanksgiving as well, most companies/businesses will set upon a specific date in early December to set out the holiday cards. Because there are most likely going to be a lot of cards to send out, you may want to  send you company’s holiday cards in early December to reach your clients/co-workers/employees in mid-December. Whenever you send them, I’m sure your recipient will be filled with joy to get your message of love and hope for the holiday season!

Empowering Employees Through Sympathy Cards

When it comes to writing out sympathy cards for employees, some people can express their feelings with words on paper much more easily than with words in person.  Others can just get stuck and not know where or how to start.  They feel like if they write too much, it may come across like the recipient is reading a long paragraph on how sorry you are for their loss.  Yet, if they write too little, it seems as though it was a rushed sentiment, and that they did not take enough time to truly express their heart-felt thoughts. Either way, it is important to empower employees through sympathy cards regardless of the length of the message.

In the office, a sympathy card is a wonderful source of encouragement; it will make the employee feel like they are valued and are thought about on a personal level.  They are inexpensive, yet extremely rich in meaning.  Giving your employee a sympathy card simply implies “I care.”

The death of a loved one is one of the most difficult rough patches a person can go through in their lifetime. Writing a sympathy card is one of the simplest things you can do to help lift your co-worker’s spirit.  Your employee will appreciate the fact you took the time to express your feelings, and that goes a long way.

My Favorite Birthday Greetings

It can be difficult to know what to say in a birthday card, especially when you are used to just buying a card with a greeting already inside. That’s why The Gallery Collection has a huge selection of greetings to choose from as well as a team of highly trained staff to help you create the perfect card (or you could always opt for one of their many preprinted Birthday Assortment Boxes). Here are what I consider to be my favorite greetings they offer for birthday cards.

If the birthday card is meant for personal use, try selecting one of these greetings from The Gallery Collection:

B3 The fun mix of fonts on this greeting and neat addition of a star accent makes this lengthy greeting stand out. It is a sincere sentiment bubbling with personality.

B7 The font on this birthday greeting is swirly and cutesy. Plus, the graphic of a cake above it makes it both short and sweet!

J2 This birthday greeting would work for anyone on your recipient list. It is elegant and sincere without being the least bit stuffy.

If the birthday card is for your business to send out to clients, consider using one of these greetings:

B4 The arched layout of this greeting makes it stand out. It feels personal but not too jovial for a business associate.

B1 This greeting delivers warm wishes in a professional yet friendly tone.

J3 There is something regal about this font! The sentiment is endearing and the addition of the scroll beneath the words will leave your recipient feeling cared about.

If the birthday card is meant for an employee or coworker, try one of these greetings:

M4 Short, to the point, and cheery!

A8 This greeting makes the card feel like it’s from the whole gang. Plus, it’ll leave plenty of room to add personal messages!

B6 A longer, formal greeting that still packs a whole lot of tenderness.
