Don’t Forget to Send a Greeting Card

Greeting cards are a thoughtful and personal way to show someone that you care. They are a small gesture that can make a big difference, especially in today’s digital world.

Here are some reasons why you should send a greeting card:

  • To show someone you care. A greeting card is a tangible reminder that you are thinking of someone and that you care about them. It is a personal touch that can make someone feel special.
  • To celebrate a special occasion. Greeting cards are a great way to celebrate special occasions like birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries. They are a thoughtful way to show someone that you are happy for them and that you are celebrating with them.
  • To offer your support. If someone is going through a difficult time, a sympathy card can offer them support and encouragement. It is a way to let them know that you are thinking of them and that you are there for them.
  • To express your gratitude. A thank you card is a great way to express your gratitude to someone who has done something nice for you. It is a thoughtful way to show them that you appreciate their kindness.
  • To simply say hello. Even if there is no special occasion, a greeting card is a great way to simply say hello to someone you care about. It is a way to let them know that you are thinking of them and that you want to stay in touch.

So, next time the holidays roll around or an anniversary comes up, consider sending a greeting card. It is a small gesture that can make a big difference.

The Benefits of Custom Greeting Cards

Custom greeting cards are perfect for every business. No matter what line of work you are in, you have at least 100 customers or clients that deserve a custom printed greeting card from you or your business. I have read some marketing facts that show it costs 10 times less to keep a current customer than it does to get a new one.  This is the benefit of custom greeting cards. It also shows your appreciation to your current customers or clients in a very inexpensive way and it preserves your ongoing business relationships.

By the way, custom greeting cards are wonderful for personal use as well. The greeting cards are excellent for birthdays, holidays, or any special life occurrences. Custom greeting cards really touch the hearts of the people you send them out to.  In our world of faceless electronic communication it has become very important that we reach our customers in a memorable way.

Whether I send out a single greeting card or a few, say for a holiday, I almost always receive emails and text messages thanking me for the greeting card I that sent.  When I receive this kind of feedback I become more aware of the impact I created. One positive is that I have made someone smile and be happy, so I feel good too!

Another positive is that my greeting card has physically been opened and read, I wonder about emails we all send, sometimes it is just easier to hit “delete all”.  There is no question in my mind that my card will be placed somewhere in their home or office, for quite a while.

Are you in the Market for Greeting Cards?

How do you shop for greeting cards?  When I was in the market for our yearly supply of birthday cards, I wasn’t exactly sure where to start.  My predecessor would make trips to the local discount store to purchase greeting cards.  No offense to her as she was doing the best she could, but the cards were always so flimsy and looked cheap.  This was not how I thought our business should be represented.

The first thing I did was hit the internet.  I went to multiple sites and requested catalogs.  This was a great way to start.  Most companies not only sent me a catalog but a sample of their greeting cards and sometimes even their envelopes.  It was really helpful as I was able to compare the quality of greeting cards from each company.

Once I narrowed down my choice to The Gallery Collection, I hopped on their website to see their full line of greeting cards.  It was so difficult to select one from all the beautiful designs.  They were nice enough to send me samples of my 6 favorite.  I then passed them along to my colleagues in the Human Resources Department for a vote.  We have the perfect birthday cards that I am proud to send to our customers and staff.

Using Everyday Greeting Cards

Special occasions usually hold important places in our lives.  They are times to celebrate, spend time with those you care about, and lead to many happy memories.  Thoughtful gifts and greeting cards can become cherished items for years to come.  Sometimes, though, it is tempting to live from one holiday, birthday, or anniversary to the next without paying much attention to the time in-between.  If you think about it, that can actually seem like a terrible waste.  The vast majority of our time is spent on regular days, which often get lost in the responsibilities of daily life.  We may forget to take a look at who we really are and what and who really matter to us in the course of normal life.

However, there is no reason to merely exist and subsist and reserve true joy or meaningful interaction with others until a social event.  Why not let those people you care about know it more often than not?  A thoughtful way to express yourself is by simply giving a greeting card.  The act of selecting, possibly writing, and signing a greeting card doesn’t take much time or effort, but it has the capacity to resonate with someone.  I can’t remember a time when I received a greeting card and was disappointed.  Everyday Cards aren’t only reserved for special occasions.  They can be given for everyday events like wishing a child well on their test at school, thanking a parent for their insightful advice, or congratulating a co-worker on putting out that pesky popcorn inferno you ignited in the break room microwave.  Everyday cards should be used every day.  If you have something to say, feel free to say it with a greeting card.

The Versatility of Corporate Thank You Cards

You probably haven’t received a Thank You card in a while. Is it because they seem passé? Sure feels like it, but in today’s hustle bustle, it is more important than ever to use Thank You cards as a way of acknowledging your appreciation. For example, the elusive client meeting you finally landed.  Sure you may have taken the client out to lunch and sent a “thanks for meeting with me” email, but a Thank You card is a way to get noticed and stand out from the rest. Don’t miss the opportunity to get customers thinking positively about you and your business.

Thank You cards also work great for your suppliers or vendors as well.  Have any of them gone out of their way to meet a deadline for you?  If so, keep the good relations going with a Thank You card

Thank You cards are great for giving internal kudos to those who deserve it. You obviously don’t want to send a card every time someone does their job right, but you do want to recognize those employees who go above and beyond.

Sometimes it’s hard to distinguish yourself as a company or a person in the corporate world, but using Thank You cards at appropriate times will really set you apart from the pack.

Receiving a card wishing you and your family happy holidays is heartwarming. Receiving a birthday card shows someone is paying attention. What is the Purpose of a Greeting Card Assortment Box?

OMG I can’t tell you how many times having a greeting card assortment box has saved my life.  OK, that’s an exaggeration, but having it is amazing.

You know how tired you are at the end of the day and you just want to go home and flop down in a chair and chill?  Well, imagine that and then remembering that you have a birthday at work the next day and there is no way you can drag yourself out to the store.  Having a greeting card assortment box means all you have to do is probably open a drawer or closet in your own home and choose a card, without ever having to leave the house.  And an assortment box of cards doesn’t only come in handy at home; I have a box in my desk at work too.  That way, my office crew is prepared for any situation.

Not to mention, it’s an assortment box, so you have some of everything.  I know I’ve often times used the “Thinking of You” card when I’ve heard some news about a friend or former neighbor and you really just want to brighten their day.  It’s just a little something, but just enough to cheer someone up.

What a perfect solution to having everything you need at your fingertips – any time of the day or night.  A greeting card assortment box answers all your needs and can most likely get you through more than a year of events – planned and unplanned.

Thank You Cards Are Not Passé

I have a pet peeve. I really get annoyed when I go to a store to make a purchase and the clerk acts like I’m not even there! No eye contact. No “how are you today?” Not even a thank you. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I’m also not fond of not receiving thank you cards. Is it too much to ask? Has saying thank you become passé?

Thank You Cards

Don’t get me wrong. There are plenty of people that haven’t forgotten the old ways. I do run into people that say thank you and I do get thank you cards from some. But all too often we take manners for granted and do not realize the importance they hold in our lives.

Being in customer service, I am on the phone and interacting with our customers daily. In order to assure them that I appreciate their order and the opportunity to serve them, I must convey with my voice. I do this by smiling and being helpful. No, it can’t be seen, but they can hear in my voice that I truly care. When I am dealing with an individual on a more personal level, I convey my thanks not only in person, when I can, but I follow it up with a thank you card.

Whenever I purchase my all occasion cards, I make sure that they include thank you cards. When the occasion arises, I have it at the ready. Whether in business or personally, and under appreciated person is an unhappy person. Either way, it’s a recipe for disaster. I don’t want to be the person responsible for that!
