There is a $20 suggested donation for entry, and there will also be raffles, a silent auction, and live music with 100% of the proceeds going directly to a recovery fund for medical and rehabilitation costs. Heather, who sustained serious injuries to her left leg during the attack, recently underwent an operation to amputate the leg below the knee. \u201cIt will be a long road ahead for Heather, and we are hoping to relieve some of the impending financial burden by raising funds in her name,\u201d reads the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/newport.whatsupdaily.com\/fundraiser-for-heather-abbot.html\">event website<\/a><\/strong>. \u201cThis will allow Heather to focus all of her energy on getting better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/boston_card_650.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/boston_card_650.jpg\" alt=\"Boston Marathon Fundraiser Cards\" width=\"650\" height=\"707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/boston_card_650.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/boston_card_650-275x300.jpg 275w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/a><\/center>In a show of support for Heather and this Sunday\u2019s fundraiser, The Gallery Collection will be donating nearly $5,000 worth of products to support the day\u2019s events, including a $300 gift certificate to the silent auction, thirty greeting card <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/assortment-boxes\/browse.htm\">assortment boxes<\/a><\/strong> to be sold throughout the day, and 500 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/christmas-cards.htm\">personalized cards<\/a><\/strong> that will be distributed as a thank you to all those in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe events on April 15th in Boston were a shock to everyone,\u201d said H.L. DeVore, Chief Marketing Officer for The Gallery Collection. \u201cAs I learned more about the individual stories of courage and heroism that occurred that day, I was particularly touched by Heather\u2019s story.
