{"id":655,"date":"2008-08-27T08:57:12","date_gmt":"2008-08-27T12:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/blog\/inspirational-greeting-card-tales\/get-well-cards-from-my-doctor\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T22:30:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T03:30:01","slug":"get-well-cards-from-my-doctor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/blog\/inspirational-greeting-card-tales\/get-well-cards-from-my-doctor\/","title":{"rendered":"Get Well Cards from my Doctor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here\u2019s a little story of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/all-occasion-cards\/get-well-cards.htm\">business get well cards<\/a><\/strong> and a visit to my doctor\u2026<\/p>\n<p>If you are anything like me, you really have to be feeling pretty bad to call and make an appointment to go see a doctor.&nbsp; Who wants to waste a vacation day or leave work early to go sit in the waiting room of a doctor\u2019s office with a bunch of other people sneezing, coughing, and spreading their germs on you?&nbsp; I am convinced that at this point you are actually getting sicker than you were when you walked in.<\/p>\n<p>But there are three things I can always count on when I dial the phone number to make an appointment.&nbsp; The first is that I know I will always be caught up on all my news and gossip, as my doctor subscribes to every magazine available.&nbsp; The second is that I will go home with a great new recipe since we all watch the Food Network while sitting in the waiting area.&nbsp; And the third is that I know in a couple of days my get well card will be arriving in the mail.<\/p>\n<p>I had never even heard of such a thing\u2026doctors sending get well cards?&nbsp; I mean, can you imagine how many cards they must send out each year?&nbsp;&nbsp; But when I\u2019ve thanked my doctor in the past and expressed that I thought this was a great gesture to his patients, he always replies that this is his business, and just like any other company or organization who orders business <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallerycollection.com\/\">get well cards<\/a><\/strong> for their employees or clients, he does the same.&nbsp; I guess it\u2019s not so bad after all to go and watch TV, read a magazine, and then get some mail a couple days later that isn\u2019t a credit card offer or a bill!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Here\u2019s a little story of business get well cards and a visit to my doctor\u2026 If you are&hellip;","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"ngg_post_thumbnail":0,"csco_singular_sidebar":"","csco_page_header_type":"","csco_page_load_nextpost":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[59,71,184],"class_list":{"0":"post-655","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-inspirational-greeting-card-tales","7":"tag-get-well-cards","8":"tag-business-get-well-cards","9":"tag-doctor","10":"cs-entry"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
