A thoughtful get well card is sure to brighten up anyone\u2019s day when they are feeling ill. In a business setting though, it\u2019s important to keep some tips in mind to ensure your being respectful and sensitive to someone\u2019s private life outside of work.<\/p>\n
There are many get well cards out there to choose from. Avoid cards that are too sad or overly sensitive. Some illnesses take longer than others to recover from. Read through the greeting and put yourself in the shoes of the receiver and ask yourself \u2013 \u201cis this appropriate to send?\u201d Although you may know of the severity of someone\u2019s illness, it\u2019s best to keep it short, sweet, and professional. There are also some get well cards that mention \u201cGod.\u201d I would avoid sending cards like that unless you know the person does believe in God. Even then, you never know when someone\u2019s beliefs may change. If you have to second guess yourself on your get well card purchase, choose a more basic type of card. Of course, use your own discretion when choosing a card, depending on how well you know the person who\u2019s sick.<\/p>\n
One idea is to have your whole team purchase a get well soon card and everyone can sign and write in it.
