A business card with your picture is not just a great way to get your name out there, but it is a great way to be remembered. I am great with faces but not so much with names. A business card with a picture cements that I will remember who you are.

All of my other jobs I have been blessed with the opportunity to have a business card. It really made me feel professional and I think people took me more serious as a person who is here to help you with what you need. That being said I think it would be pretty cool to get a business card outside of work. A way to make new friends without scrambling to write your number down on paper and pen you know you don’t just carry around. Overall I think business cards are pretty neat.
In today’s world, people aren’t about that “wow” factor anymore when it comes to business cards, I believe. We live in a world ruled by minimalists. Getting to the point of your business and where they can reach you and see your work (if needed) is all you need. Maybe a picture of you/and your logo is the most customization that should be done.

My employer gave me their business cards and had me hand write my name, phone number, and email on 25 cards to prepare for a marketing conference a month out. It would’ve been much more professional if I had my own business card with my name and job title on it, which is actually very affordable on Gallery Collection and I would’ve received the cards on time..
I agree that cards have to be more functional. Flourishes and pop colors could be nice, but readability is more important.
Business cards with logos and colors have that ‘WOW’ factor. Every business should have something on hand. Scribbling something on your lunch wrapper is not the way to secure any business.
The back of business cards having a calendar or appointment reminder is so helpful! i resource the hours of operation on the back of my salon’s business card right before I call just to be sure. It’s the best.
